Description

The aftermath of the financial crisis and the rise of populist politics has given rise to debating the nature and powers of the executive vis-a-vis other branches of the state. In this panel, papers explore changing notions of statehood and how these changes manifest themselves in our understanding of executive power, especially across political systems. Papers are also invited to explore the role of different bodies within the executive branch, such as regulatory agencies, central banks and other government offices.
