We are pleased to announce that Suzanne Nossel, Chief Executive Officer at Pen America (US), Adam Hanieh, Reader in Development Studies SOAS, University of London (UK) and IPSA President Prof. Marianne Kneuer have been confirmed as plenary speakers at the 2020 IPSA World Congress.


The Call for Proposals deadline of 10 October has been extended to 24 October 2019 for the 26th IPSA World Congress of Political Science on 25-29 July 2020 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The 2020 Congress will have a diverse program under the theme New Nationalisms in an Open World. Paper and panel proposals on any Political Science-related subject are welcome.

The call for IPSA Awards 2020 is now open! Most awards will be presented at the 26th IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Lisbon.

IPSA members are invited to send nominations before 1 November 2019 for the three awards: Karl Deutsch Award, Juan Linz Prize and Prize of the Foundation Mattei Dogan.The nomination procedures have been simplified for 2020 and nominations for the three awards can be made in one of the following ways:
